Role & responsibilities

Responsible for managing the overall production operations of the Solvent Extraction Plant to achieve secure, efficient, cost-effective and quality-focused production while ensuring compliance with company standards, statutory requirements and environmental, health & safety regulations.

- Manage day-to-day operations of the solvent extraction plant, ensuring uninterrupted and efficient production.
- Plan production activities in line with production targets, raw-material availability and customer requirements.
- Monitor and optimize plant parameters including extraction efficiency, solvent losses, power consumption, steam consumption and production yield.
- Ensure maximum plant availability through effective coordination with Maintenance, Quality, Utilities, Stores, Engineering and EHS teams.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, yield, energy efficiency and operating costs.
- Monitor production KPIs and prepare daily, weekly and monthly performance reports.
- Identify production losses, bottlenecks and process deviations and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs, process standards, quality specifications and GMP/food-safety requirements, wherever applicable.
- Maintain strict compliance with EHS,



fire safety and hazardous-area operating procedures, particularly in solvent-handling areas.
- Ensure proper handling, storage and safe use of solvents and other hazardous materials.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive maintenance, breakdown reduction and timely equipment availability.
- Lead and develop production supervisors, operators and other plant personnel.
- Establish manpower deployment and shift schedules to optimize operational efficiency.

Preferred candidate profile .BTECH/BE with

- 1015 years of relevant experience in production/operations, preferably in:

- Solvent Extraction Plants
- Edible Oil / Vegetable Oil Industry
- Agro-processing

- Oilseed processing

- Chemical/process industries
- Similar continuous-process manufacturing plants
- Minimum 3–5 years in a managerial/leadership role is preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience in solvent extraction plant operations is highly desirable.
