Production Head – Zinc Flake Coating | Roles & Responsibilities

- Lead overall production operations for zinc flake coating processes, ensuring achievement of production targets, quality requirements, delivery schedules, and cost objectives.
- Provide technical and operational leadership with 12+ years of manufacturing/production experience, preferably in surface treatment, coating, or automotive components.
- Ensure compliance with CQI-12 requirements, including process controls, self-assessments, corrective actions, documentation, and continuous improvement of coating processes.
- Manage complete NPI (Recent Product Introduction) activities, from feasibility review, process planning, trials, process validation, PPAP, and customer approval through production launch.
- Establish and control key zinc flake coating parameters including cleaning, pre-treatment, coating application, curing, thickness, torque-tension performance, adhesion, and corrosion resistance.
- Lead production teams, supervisors, and operators; establish manpower plans, shift schedules, training programs, and competency requirements to maximize productivity.
- Drive OEE, FPY,



productivity, rejection, rework, downtime, and cost-performance KPIs, implementing corrective and preventive actions to achieve production targets.
- Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and NPI teams to resolve process issues, improve throughput, and ensure smooth product launches.
- Lead root-cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, Pareto, SPC, FMEA, and Control Plans.
- Ensure production readiness, process capability, equipment availability, chemical/material control, EHS compliance, and customer-specific requirements while maintaining CQI-12 and applicable quality-system standards.
