Role Description The Production Engineer role at BlackZone Mobiles is a full-time, on-site position based in Sonipat.

The Production

Engineer is responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations for feature phones and smartphones, ensuring production targets are met with consistent quality and efficiency. Typical tasks include monitoring production lines, optimizing workflows, coordinating production planning, and implementing process improvements. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, addressing technical issues, supporting quality control initiatives, and maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards.

Engineer is also expected to prepare reports, analyze production data, and contribute to continuous improvement projects on the shop floor.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in Production Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to mobile manufacturing processes.
- Proficient Analytical Skills for evaluating production data, identifying root causes of issues, and proposing effective solutions.
- Experience in Production Planning, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination with procurement and inventory teams.
- Knowledge of Quality Control practices to maintain product standards, reduce defects, and support testing and inspection activities.
- Effective Communication skills for collaborating with production staff, supervisors, and technical teams, and for documenting processes and reports.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, or Six Sigma is an advantage.
- Ability to work safely on-site in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and adapt to evolving production technologies.
