T rack legislation, budgets, schemes, and administrative orders relevant to T elangana coverage.

Shape the weekly running order with the Regional Editorial Lead against the news cycle.
Write interview question sets, on-screen text, headlines, and lower-third copy.

3+ years spanning political research and writing - newsroom desk, policy analysis, or broadcast scripting. Candidates strong in only one half of this role are the common failure mode.
Excellent written T elugu in a broadcast register - written to be spoken, not read.
Comfortable with data - election commission datasets, census figures, budget documents - and able to read them accurately.
Deep working knowledge of T elangana politics; able to write about it without briefing on every basic point.
