The Plant Head will be responsible for the overall management of the Raipur Division plant, including production planning, quality assurance, raw material and vendor coordination, machinery upkeep, manpower management, safety compliance, cost control and timely, quality delivery of Quartz Powder, Industrial Minerals and related products to customers.

KEY JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Plant Operations & Production Management

- Plan, organize, direct and run optimum day-to-day plant operations to exceed customers' expectations of quantity, quality and delivery timelines.
- Oversee the entire manufacturing process of Quartz Powder and other Industrial Minerals, from raw material feeding to finished product dispatch.
- Prepare and monitor production schedules and budgets, ensuring production targets are achieved with optimum utilization of resources.
- Ensure continuous, efficient operation of crushing, grinding, screening, beneficiation and packing units.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase throughput, reduce downtime and lower per-unit production cost.
- Monitor and control plant KPIs — production output, yield, wastage, machine uptime and manpower productivity.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

- Coordinate with the Quality Control unit to ensure the entire product range meets defined parameters of design, quality and finish before dispatch.
- Institute and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for every stage of manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, mining, factory and pollution-control regulations applicable to the plant.
- Drive root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive action for any quality deviation or customer complaint.

Raw Material & Vendor Management

- Ensure timely procurement of premium-grade raw material from authentic and approved vendors.
- Coordinate with the purchase/procurement team to maintain optimum raw material and consumables inventory, avoiding both stock-outs and overstocking.
- Evaluate vendor performance on quality, pricing and delivery reliability.

Machinery,



Maintenance & Technology

- Ensure all plant units are equipped with, and maintained to, the essential tools, machinery and technology required for high-quality production.
- Plan and oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Evaluate and recommend capital investment in current machinery, automation and process technology to improve productivity.

Team & People Management

- Lead, mentor and build an adroit team of employees who stay abreast of advanced manufacturing techniques and designs.
- Allocate manpower across shifts, monitor attendance, discipline and productivity on the shop floor.
- Identify training needs and arrange skill-development programs for plant staff and workmen.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement among plant personnel.

Safety, Health & Environment

- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing plant safety rules, use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct periodic safety audits, mock drills and risk assessments; ensure timely closure of identified hazards.
- Ensure compliance with environmental norms relating to dust control, effluent and waste management.

Cost Control & Reporting

- Monitor plant operating costs, control wastage and drive cost-optimization initiatives without compromising quality.
- Prepare and present periodic MIS reports on production, quality, costs and manpower to management.
- Ensure products are offered and delivered within the promised time-frame and at reasonable, competitive cost.

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

- Liaise with sales, dispatch, logistics and accounts teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment and timely delivery.
- Coordinate with government/statutory authorities (Mines, Pollution Control Board, Factory Inspectorate, etc.) as required.
- Represent the plant in management review meetings and report directly to senior management/promoters.

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per year
