Key Responsibilities

Production &

- Planning

- Plan and monitor daily/weekly/monthly production schedules across corrugation (single/double face), printing, die-cutting, flap pasting, and stitching sections

- Ensure optimal machine utilization (Corrugator, Auto Flexo, Die-punching, etc.) and minimize changeover/downtime

- Balance production against sales orders, prioritizing based on delivery commitments

Quality Control

- Ensure adherence to BF/GSM, bursting strength, and box compression standards as per customer specs

- Minimize rejections, customer complaints, and rework

- Implement and monitor quality control checkpoints at each production stage

Maintenance &

- Machine Uptime

- Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance schedules for all machinery

- Minimize machine downtime and coordinate spare parts planning with stores

- Drive capital equipment upgrades/capacity expansion proposals as needed

Manpower Management

- Manage shift-wise manpower planning, productivity, and discipline

- Recruit, train, and appraise plant staff and workers





- Handle labor relations, contractor management, and compliance with labor laws

Cost &

- Inventory Control

- Control raw material (kraft paper, adhesive, ink) consumption and minimize wastage

- Monitor conversion cost per ton/sq. mtr and identify cost-reduction opportunities

- Coordinate with purchase/stores on raw material availability and inventory norms

Safety, Health &

- Compliance

- Ensure workplace safety protocols, fire safety, and PPE compliance

- Maintain statutory compliance (Factory Act, Pollution Control, ISO/BRC standards if applicable)

- Conduct safety audits and near-miss/incident reporting

Coordination

- Liaise with sales team on order feasibility, delivery timelines, and recent product/box design requirements

- Coordinate with design/CAD team for box structural designs

- Report plant performance to management through MIS/dashboards
