Role Description The Planning Engineer role at Asset Homes is a full-time, on-site position based in Ernakulam. The individual in this role will be responsible for preparing and monitoring project schedules, coordinating with project teams to ensure timely execution of construction activities, and aligning planning outputs with overall project objectives.
Day-to-day tasks include analyzing project progress, identifying risks and delays, updating work breakdown structures, and supporting production planning to optimize resource utilization.
The Planning
Engineer will also contribute to project control activities, such as tracking milestones, preparing status reports, and supporting cost and time forecasting. Regular communication with cross-functional stakeholders, including engineering, site management, and procurement teams, is essential to maintain transparency and resolve planning-related issues.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess robust Planning and Production Planning skills to develop, implement, and monitor effective project schedules and resource plans.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret project data, identify variances, and support data-driven decision making.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to collaborate with site teams, management, and external partners and to present planning reports clearly.
- Candidates should possess Project Control skills to manage timelines, track progress, and support compliance with cost and quality targets.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline is preferred, with prior experience in construction or real estate project planning.
- Familiarity with project planning tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent) and strong proficiency in MS Excel are beneficial.
- Ability to work systematically on-site, handle multiple projects, and maintain attention to detail under time constraints.
