About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to join our dynamic team at IQVIA's Bangalore office. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing our enterprise SaaS platform. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in backend development, with a focus on building scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, QA, and stakeholders, to deliver innovative features and enhancements that meet client needs and industry standards. This position offers a hybrid work mode, providing flexibility to balance remote work with on-site collaboration, and requires a commitment to agile development practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong background in PHP and enterprise application architecture. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required,



or equivalent professional experience. Proven expertise in PHP 8.x, Object-Oriented Programming, and the LAMP stack is essential.

Experience working with MVC frameworks such as CakePHP is highly preferred. Candidates should also have a solid understanding of JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Bootstrap, and familiarity with database technologies including MySQL and NoSQL databases. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, including services like EC2, S3, and RDS, is a plus.

Industry experience in Life Sciences or Healthcare is advantageous, reflecting an understanding of the sector’s unique requirements and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

As a Senior PHP Developer at IQVIA, your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining backend applications using PHP 8.x and modern MVC frameworks, preferably CakePHP. You will be tasked with building and supporting RESTful APIs and third-party integrations to ensure seamless connectivity and data exchange. Performance optimization, scalability, and security enhancements are critical aspects of your role, requiring you to regularly review and improve existing systems.

Developing and maintaining comprehensive unit and integration tests will ensure code quality and reliability. You will participate actively in code reviews, technical design discussions,



and agile delivery processes to foster a collaborative and innovative development environment. Additionally, you will work closely with product managers, QA teams, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outputs.
