About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to join IQVIA's dynamic technology team in Bangalore. This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing our enterprise SaaS platform to ensure it remains scalable, secure, and high-performing. As a key member of the backend development team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA, and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that meet business needs.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PHP development, particularly with modern frameworks and cloud technologies, and will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our healthcare solutions. This position offers a hybrid work environment, providing flexibility to support various time zones and work preferences.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field,



or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 5-8 years of software development experience across the full software development lifecycle is essential. Strong expertise in PHP 8.x, object-oriented programming, and LAMP stack technologies is required.

Experience with MVC frameworks such as CakePHP or similar is highly preferred. Additionally, proficiency in JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, Bootstrap, Twig, or Vite is necessary. Familiarity with database management systems including MySQL and NoSQL databases, as well as cloud platforms such as AWS (EC2, S3, RDS), is also important.

Prior experience in the Life Sciences or Healthcare industry is a plus, as it will help in understanding domain-specific requirements and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications using PHP 8.x and up-to-date MVC frameworks, with a preference for CakePHP.
- Create and support RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services to enhance platform capabilities.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security to ensure a seamless user experience.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests to uphold code quality and reliability.
- Participate actively in code reviews,



technical design discussions, and Agile delivery processes to foster continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, QA teams, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Contribute to technical documentation, SOP development, and knowledge sharing within the team.
