About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to join IQVIA’s dynamic technology team in Bangalore. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and optimizing our enterprise SaaS platform that supports healthcare and life sciences solutions worldwide.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend development, with a focus on building scalable, secure, and high-performance applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA, and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that meet business needs. Qualifications The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,



Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent skilled experience. A minimum of 5-6 years of experience in software development, specifically across the full SDLC, is required. Strong expertise in PHP 8.x, object-oriented programming, and the LAMP stack is essential.

Experience with MVC frameworks such as CakePHP is preferred. Candidates should have a solid understanding of JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, Bootstrap, Twig, or Vite, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience. Familiarity with database management using MySQL and NoSQL databases, along with cloud platforms such as AWS (EC2, S3, RDS), is highly desirable. Prior experience in the Life Sciences or Healthcare industry will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain backend applications using PHP 8.x and modern MVC frameworks, with a preference for CakePHP.
- Build and support RESTful APIs and facilitate third-party integrations to ensure seamless data exchange and interoperability.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and security to meet enterprise standards and user expectations.




- Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and Agile delivery processes to foster continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate effectively with product managers, QA teams, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
