Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Payroll & Compliance Manager to end-to-end payroll processing and ensure compliance with all applicable labour laws, statutory regulations, and company policies. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of payroll operations, statutory compliance, audits, and HR processes while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and timely execution.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Management
· Manage end-to-end monthly payroll processing for all employees.
· Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, incentives, bonuses, reimbursements, deductions, and final settlements.
· Verify attendance, leave records, overtime, and payroll inputs before payroll processing.
· Process Full & Final (F&F;) settlements for exiting employees.
· Generate salary slips, payroll reports, and MIS reports.
· Coordinate with Finance for payroll reconciliation and salary disbursement.
Statutory Compliance
· Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws and statutory regulations.
· Manage EPF, ESI, PT, TDS, LWF, Bonus, Gratuity, and other statutory compliances as applicable.
· Prepare and submit statutory returns within prescribed timelines.
· Liaise with government authorities during inspections and audits.
· Maintain statutory registers and compliance documentation.
Compliance & Audits
· Handle statutory audits related to payroll and labor law compliance.
· Coordinate with internal and external auditors by providing payroll records, statutory returns, challans, and supporting documentation.
· Ensure timely resolution of audit observations and implement corrective actions.
· Maintain audit-ready documentation for PF, ESI, PT, TDS, LWF, Bonus, Gratuity, and other statutory compliances.
· Liaise with government authorities and auditors during inspections and statutory audits.
· Ensure compliance with applicable labor laws and regulatory requirements to minimize audit risks and penalties.
Reporting
· Prepare monthly payroll reports and compliance dashboards.
· Track statutory payment due dates and filing schedules.
· Provide payroll analytics and MIS reports to management.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
· Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, MBA/PGDM in HR or Labour Law is preferred.
· Certification in Payroll or Labor Law Compliance is an added advantage.
· Robust knowledge of payroll processing and HR operations.
· Excellent understanding of Indian labor laws and statutory compliances.
· Hands-on experience with PF, ESI, PT, TDS, Bonus, Gratuity, LWF and Factory Compliance.
· Experience with payroll software and HRMS.
