About Pluto

Pluto is building electric vehicles designed specifically for last-mile delivery. We work closely with manufacturing, fleet operations, delivery partners, vendors, and customers to put these vehicles on the road and keep them running efficiently.

We’re looking for an Operations Intern who enjoys working on the ground, solving problems, coordinating with multiple teams, and taking ownership of getting things done.

This is a hands-on role. You will work across Pluto’s office, manufacturing unit, and delivery hubs, and will regularly coordinate with vendors, operations teams, and other external stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

Own Day-to-Day Operations

- Coordinate day-to-day activities across the office, manufacturing unit, and delivery hubs.
- Work closely with the operations team to ensure vehicles, materials, people, and processes are ready when required.
- Track operational issues from identification to resolution and follow through until closure.
- Spend significant time on the ground understanding operational challenges and solving them.

Coordinate Across Teams

- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, Compliance, and other teams to execute operational requirements.




- Ensure information and requirements are communicated clearly between teams and that dependencies are followed up on.
- Help teams coordinate timelines, priorities, and execution for ongoing operational activities.

Manage Vendors & External Partners

- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, service providers, and other external partners.
- Follow up on orders, deliveries, services, timelines, and pending requirements.
- Negotiate with vendors on pricing, timelines, availability, and operational requirements where required.
- Build robust working relationships with vendors while ensuring Pluto’s requirements are met.

Support Fleet & Hub Operations

- Work with the delivery and hub teams to ensure fleet and operational readiness.
- Support vehicle deployment, movement, maintenance, charging, and other on-ground requirements.
- Identify bottlenecks in hub operations and work with the relevant teams to resolve them.
- Assist with logistics planning and movement of vehicles, materials, and inventory between locations.

Track & Improve Processes

- Maintain operational trackers and documentation using Excel/Google Sheets.
- Track key operational tasks, pending items, and timelines.
- Help identify recurring operational issues and improve processes to make day-to-day execution more efficient.
- Support the team with ad-hoc operational projects and problem-solving as the business scales.
