Zoid is a high-tech R&D; startup devoted to developing cutting-edge technologies in the Defence and Aerospace sector. We primarily deliver customized solutions to the Indian Armed Forces, leveraging our expertise in AI, Electronics, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, and Robotics.

Currently funded by the iDEX initiative under the Ministry of Defence, India, we are working on projects of strategic national importance, including:

- AI-based FOD detection software for Naval Air Stations
- Reusable Off-board Missile Decoys for Anti-Ship Missile Defense

Role Overview- We are seeking a Operations Executive who can bridge technical execution with operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for procurement, vendor management, managing logistics, and lower-level staff, alongside the day-to-day system testing, and maintenance.

This role requires a self-learner with basic technical skills, problem-solving ability, and organizational skills to support both development/testing teams and senior management.

Key Responsibilities -

1. Procurement & Vendor Management: Place orders, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure timely deliveries from both local markets and domestic shipments.
2. Inventory Control: Track and manage parts, equipment, and office supplies; maintain readiness for testing/deployment.
3. Logistical Support: Organize field trials, travel plans, and team requirements.
4. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed technical logs, procurement records, and performance reports.
5. Team Collaboration: Work with development, testing, and management teams to ensure smooth operations and timely project execution.
6. Office management: Managing and hiring labours for day-to-day work and ensuring daily operations are done efficiently.

Data Support- Support data collection, annotation, and analysis during product development.
8. Ground Support- Manage, supervise and hire ground-level technical staff, including labours, electricians, carpenters, welders, fabricators, and general technicians involved in the assembly, maintenance, and field operations of robotic and drone systems.

Qualifications-

Education:

Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, Robotics, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience also considered.

Experience:

1. Minimum 2-3 years experience in a operations role, preferably in a startup, R&D;, or manufacturing, defence-tech setting.
2. Prior exposure to procurement, vendor management, and field testing is a strong plus.

Technical Skills:

1. Knowledge about board-level soldering, assembling, using test equipment like multi-meters is a plus.
2. Knowledge of computers is a plus. Includes works such as setting up workstations and installing Windows/Linux operating systems is a plus.
3. Knowledge of Wi-Fi, MCBs, powering systems, etc is a plus.
4. Ability to debug and maintain hardware/software subsystems is a plus. Hands on experience on Microsoft tools.

3. Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
