The organization is a signatory to the Tourism Declares a Climate Emergency declaration and is developing a digital travel assistant integrated with an automated carbon footprint calculator to measure and reduce emissions from travel itineraries. As screenless and voice-based user experiences become more common, the company is positioning itself to be a market leader in the travel and tourism domain in the coming decade. In addition to its travel services, Encamp Adventures plans to launch future product lines dedicated to climate action and sustainable practices.

Role Description The Operation Intern role is an on-site internship based in Guwahati. The intern will support day-to-day operations including coordination of experiential trips, vendor and partner communication, and logistical planning for itineraries across Northeast India, Nepal, and Bhutan.

Responsibilities include assisting with operations documentation, tracking bookings and payments, and helping streamline processes to ensure smooth traveler experiences.



The intern will collaborate with the operations and product teams on projects related to climate-focused travel initiatives and the digital travel assistant. This role offers hands-on exposure to travel operations, sustainable tourism practices, and cross-functional collaboration within a growing organization.

Qualifications

- Strong Analytical Skills to interpret data, assess operational performance, and support process improvements.
- Effective Communication abilities, including clear written and verbal communication and professional interaction with partners and travelers.
- Interest or foundational experience in Sales to assist in lead follow-up, traveler queries, and promoting experiential trips.
- Knowledge or coursework in Operations Management to support itinerary planning, vendor coordination, and on-ground logistics.
- Basic Project Management skills to help organize tasks, track timelines, and contribute to climate-focused and digital assistant initiatives.
- Enrollment in or recent completion of a degree in Business, Tourism, Environmental Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, agile environment with attention to detail and ownership of assigned tasks.
- Interest in sustainable tourism, climate action, and technology-driven travel solutions.
