Role Description

This is a part time remote role for an Online IB Economics Tutor for Class XI at Doon Global School. The tutor will conduct online classes, explain key IB Commerce concepts, and provide structured guidance aligned with the IB curriculum. Daily tasks include planning lessons, preparing learning materials, assigning practice work, and giving timely feedback on student performance.

The tutor will assess student’s progress through quizzes, assignments, and discussions, and adapt teaching methods to support different learning styles. The role also involves communicating regularly with students and, when needed,



with parents or guardians to share progress updates and suggest improvement strategies.

Qualifications

- Strong subject knowledge in Economics, with the ability to teach both Microeconomics and Macroeconomics effectively.
- Proficiency in Mathematics as applied to economic analysis, including basic statistics and quantitative reasoning.
- Excellent Communication skills for explaining complex ideas clearly in an online environment and engaging with students and parents.
- Previous experience teaching IB Economics or similar curricula at the senior school level is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Mathematics, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Comfort with online teaching platforms, digital tools, and creating interactive learning resources.
- Ability to mentor students, demonstrate patience, and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
- Strong organizational skills and reliability in meeting class schedules and assessment deadlines.
