Role Description The Occupational Therapist will provide comprehensive pediatric occupational therapy services to children with diverse developmental and behavioral needs in an on-site, full-time role based in Bengaluru. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing individualized therapy plans, and delivering interventions focused on sensory integration, fine and gross motor skills, self-care, and school readiness. The role involves closely monitoring progress, updating treatment goals,
and maintaining accurate documentation and reports.
The Occupational
Therapist will collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, special educators, and early intervention professionals to ensure coordinated care. Regular communication with families, caregiver training, and participation in team meetings and case discussions are key components of this role.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, with experience working in pediatric settings.
- Knowledge of Pediatrics and basic Medicine principles relevant to child development and therapeutic interventions.
- Excellent Communication skills for interacting with children, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution; valid skilled registration or license as applicable.
- Experience in sensory integration, developmental assessments, and designing individualized therapy programs.
- Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment and provide caregiver education and home-program guidance.
- Strong observation, documentation, and time-management skills, with a commitment to evidence-based practice.
- Prior experience in pediatric therapy centers, schools, or child development programs is an added advantage.
