The Principal will be responsible for the overall academic, administrative, and strategic leadership of the Nursing College, ensuring compliance with Indian Nursing Council (INC), State Nursing Council, and University regulations, while fostering a high standard of nursing education, clinical training, and institutional development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide academic and administrative leadership to the college in accordance with INC, State Nursing Council, and affiliating University norms
- Plan, implement, and monitor the curriculum for UG and PG nursing programs
- Ensure adequate clinical postings, training facilities, and quality clinical exposure for students
- Supervise faculty recruitment, workload allocation, performance appraisal, and career development
- Ensure compliance with statutory bodies (INC, State Nursing Council, University, and other regulatory authorities) including inspections and accreditation processes
- Oversee student admissions, discipline, welfare, and academic progress
- Prepare and manage the annual academic calendar, budgets, and institutional reports




- Liaise with hospital administration for clinical training tie-ups and internship placements
- Promote research, publications, and continuing nursing education activities among faculty and students
- Represent the institution at university, government, and professional forums
- Ensure a safe, ethical, and student-centric learning environment

Educational Qualifications:

- M.Sc. Nursing (Regular) from a recognized university, with a Ph.D. preferred
- Registered Nurse and Registered Midwife (RN, RM) with valid State Nursing Council registration

Experience:

- Minimum 10-15 years of teaching/administrative experience in a recognized nursing institution, including at least 5 years in a senior academic/administrative capacity, as per INC/State Nursing Council norms

Skills Required:

- Strong leadership, administrative, and organizational skills
- Sound knowledge of INC/State Nursing Council/University guidelines and accreditation processes (NAAC/NABH, if applicable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in academic planning, curriculum development, and quality assurance Remuneration: Commensurate with experience and as per institutional norms.
