About The Role WorldWide Technology Holding Co, LLC. (WWT) is currently seeking a highly experienced Lead / Subject Matter Expert (SME) Network Engineer for a remote, long-term contract position. This role is designed for seasoned network professionals who possess extensive expertise in designing, implementing, and leading complex network solutions within large enterprise or regulated environments.

As a Lead/SME Network Engineer, you will be responsible for guiding technical teams, shaping architectural standards, and ensuring successful delivery of network infrastructure projects. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors, managing end-to-end project execution, and transitioning solutions into operational support. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of demonstrable experience leading and implementing complex network solutions.

Certifications such as Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) Enterprise, FortiGate Professional, or F5 LTM/GTM at the Certified Technical Specialist level are highly advantageous. Candidates should possess in-depth technical knowledge of network technologies including Cisco routing and switching, Juniper networks, F5 load balancers, Fortinet FortiGate, Cisco Firepower, campus wireless solutions, and security proxies such as Blue Coat, Symantec Proxy, and Zscaler. Strong communication skills, proactive workload management, and the ability to synthesize multiple sources of technical information into cohesive solutions are essential.

Experience operating as a Lead Engineer on large transformational programs and managing stakeholder relationships is critical.

Responsibilities

- Act as a Lead or SME within the Complex Delivery team, providing expert guidance on network design and implementation.
- Contribute to engineering and architectural standards, producing detailed low-level designs aligned with current guidelines.
- Lead delivery on large-scale transformational programs, guiding engineering teams and ensuring timely, quality execution.
- Design, build, and deploy network infrastructure solutions tailored to meet business requirements and strategic goals.
- Work collaboratively with global support teams to facilitate smooth transition of solutions into operational support environments.




- Ensure all network designs and implementations comply with governance, change management, and risk management policies.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including internal teams and external vendors, providing regular project updates and escalating issues when necessary.
- Develop accurate project estimates, timelines, and resource requirements to ensure successful project delivery.
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex technical issues quickly and efficiently.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies, ensuring risk mitigation and audit readiness.
