Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Fabric Engineer with robust expertise in Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Ingestion & Orchestration, Spark/PySpark, SQL, and KQL. The role will also support the migration of enterprise metadata and lineage from Rochade to Microsoft Purview.

Key Responsibilities

- Design scalable data architectures using Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and Lakehouse.

- Design and implement data ingestion and orchestration pipelines using Fabric Data Factory/Data Pipelines.

- Develop data transformation solutions using Spark/PySpark and SQL.

- Use KQL for relevant data analysis and querying.

- Define and implement Bronze, Silver, and Gold data architecture.

- Design and implement data lineage and metadata solutions using Microsoft Purview.

- Assess Rochade metadata and develop migration/lineage bridge solutions into Purview.

- Integrate and manage metadata using Purview/Atlas APIs where required.

- Ensure end-to-end lineage across data sources, Fabric workloads, Lakehouse, and Power BI.

- Implement data governance, security, quality, and validation standards.

- Prepare HLD/LLD and provide technical leadership to engineering teams.





Required Skills

- Strong experience in Microsoft Fabric Architecture & Workloads.

- Hands-on experience with OneLake and Fabric Lakehouse.

- Strong expertise in Data Ingestion & Orchestration.

- Strong experience with Spark / PySpark and SQL.

- Working knowledge of KQL.

- Experience with Microsoft Purview, Data Lineage, Metadata Management, and Data Governance.

- Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture and cloud data platforms.

Good to Have

- Experience with Rochade / Rochade-to-Purview migration.

- Power BI and semantic models.

- Informatica / Denodo.

- Azure data services and CI/CD.

Soft Skills

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong architecture, documentation, and technical leadership skills.
