We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Mechanical Purchase Executive to manage purchase activities, maintain accurate records of transactions, coordinate with vendors, and ensure the timely availability of materials as per requirements.

The ideal candidate should have valuable communication and negotiation skills, strong organizational abilities, and the adaptability to work effectively in a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Handle procurement of mechanical components such as housing, die-casting parts, PP/ABS frames, diffusers, EPE foam, clips, screws, packaging materials, etc.
- Identify and develop new suppliers for mechanical components.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate cost, MOQ, payment terms and delivery schedules.
- Release Purchase Orders as per approved requirements and prices.
- Follow up with suppliers regularly for material readiness and on-time dispatch.
- Coordinate with PPC, Production, Stores, QA/IQC and Engineering for material requirements.
- Monitor supplier-wise pending orders and maintain the Open PO / Pending Material Report.
- Ensure materials are purchased as per approved BOM, drawing, specification and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with suppliers for new mould development, mould trials and production readiness.
- Track mould capacity, production lead time and ensure timely availability of moulded/mechanical parts.
- Handle urgent shortages and arrange materials to avoid production line stoppage.
- Resolve supplier issues related to quality, quantity, packing, transportation and delivery.




- Review supplier performance regarding price, quality, delivery and service.
- Maintain purchase records, quotations, comparative statements, POs and supplier communications in Tally,SAP/ERP.
- Support cost-reduction initiatives through alternate suppliers, value engineering and price negotiations.
- Coordinate with Finance for PI, invoice and payment-related supplier requirements.
- Prepare daily/weekly purchase status reports for management.

Requirements:

- 2–5 years of experience in Mechanical Purchase / Procurement, preferably in manufacturing.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI)

- On-time material availability.
- Reduction in purchase cost.
- Supplier delivery performance.
- Reduction in production stoppages due to material shortage.
- Development of alternate/new suppliers.
- Reduction in purchase lead time.
- Good knowledge of plastic injection moulding, die casting, sheet metal and mechanical components.
- Understanding of BOM, drawings, specifications, MOQ and lead time.
- Strong negotiation and supplier-management skills.
- Good knowledge of Excel and Tally ERP/SAP.
- Good communication and follow-up skills.
- Ability to handle urgent requirements and work under pressure.
- Knowledge of the LED lighting/electrical industry will be an advantage.
