Role Description The Manager – Debt Recovery is a full time, on-site role based in New Delhi, responsible for overseeing and optimizing debt recovery operations across assigned portfolios. This role includes planning and executing recovery strategies, monitoring delinquent accounts, and leading negotiation efforts with debtors to achieve effective settlements within regulatory and company guidelines.

The manager will supervise and guide recovery teams, track performance metrics, and ensure timely reporting to internal stakeholders and clients.



Day-to-day tasks also involve coordinating with legal and compliance teams when required, improving collection processes, and maintaining accurate documentation and records to support audit and governance requirements.

Qualifications

- Strong expertise in Debt Management and Debt Collection, including planning recovery strategies and handling complex or high-value accounts.
- Solid foundation in Finance to understand lending structures, NPA frameworks, and the financial impact of recovery activities.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills to interpret portfolio data, identify trends, segment accounts, and recommend targeted recovery actions.
- Effective Communication skills for negotiations, stakeholder coordination, and clear reporting to clients and internal teams.
- Experience in banking, NBFCs, or asset management environments focused on NPAs or distressed assets is preferred.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage targets, and work with cross-functional departments such as legal, operations, and compliance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; a relevant postgraduate degree or professional certification is an advantage.
- Working knowledge of applicable regulatory guidelines and debt recovery best practices, along with strong ethical standards and integrity.
