Job Summary

Job Title: Manager-Placements & Partnerships Department: Operations (Aftercare & Livelihood)

Reports to: Senior Manager-Operations

Responsible for: Placements & Partnership Management

Key Responsibilities

- Partnership Development & Relationship Management
- Identify, develop, and formalize strategic partnerships with companies, training institutes, placement agencies, industry bodies, and other relevant stakeholders to expand skilling and employment opportunities for young adults.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective partners and establish regular communication and engagement with existing partners.
- Assess the suitability and quality of training institutes, placement agencies, and other partners through due diligence, field visits, participant feedback, and review meetings.
- Strengthen local-level partnerships by regularly engaging with CSA operational locations and supporting teams in developing relevant local networks.

- Placements, Internships & Employer Engagement

- Drive placement and employment opportunities for young adults by engaging with employers and coordinating with location teams to achieve program placement targets.
- Facilitate internships, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities for young adults pursuing or completing skill-development courses.
- Track placement pipelines across locations, conduct regular reviews, identify gaps, and support teams in taking corrective action.
- Build and maintain long-term employer relationships, gather feedback on candidate performance, and identify areas for improvement in job readiness and employability support.
- Facilitate participation of young adults in job fairs, Rozgar Melas, recruitment drives, and other relevant employment opportunities.
- Coordinate with the Manager - Alumni to support career progression and continued engagement of employed young adults where relevant.

- Employment Market Insights & Program Development

- Track employment trends,



emerging sectors, employer requirements, and local labour-market opportunities to inform placement and skilling strategies.
- Analyse sector-wise and location-wise employment requirements and identify opportunities for new employer and training partnerships.
- Use market and partner insights to recommend improvements in job readiness, training, and placement interventions.
- Support the design and implementation of new initiatives related to entrepreneurship, career progression, internships, and emerging livelihood opportunities.
- Support the development and delivery of job-readiness and employability initiatives in coordination with program and location teams.

- Reporting, Documentation & Knowledge Management

- Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date database of companies, employers, training institutes, placement agencies, and partnership outcomes.
- Maintain records of partnership agreements, engagement status, placement opportunities, and key partner interactions.
- Provide verified program and placement data to the Data Management team for timely MIS updates and reporting.
- Support the central team in preparing program proposals, donor reports, presentations, and other documents related to partnerships and placements.
- Develop presentations, case studies, success stories, and other communication materials using relevant program data and insights to support partnerships and collaborations.
- Maintain a repository of relevant partnership documents, success stories, SOPs, and other program knowledge resources.

Monitoring & Capacity Building

- Conduct regular field visits to understand placement-related implementation, strengthen local partnerships, and provide operational support to location teams.
- Conduct periodic reviews with location teams to assess placement progress, partnership utilisation, employer feedback, and implementation challenges.
- Identify implementation gaps and support location teams in developing practical solutions and improving placement outcomes.
- Support orientation and capacity-building sessions for program staff on employer engagement, placement processes, job-readiness initiatives, and effective use of partnerships.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

- An MSW/MBA/PGDM in any specialization or a Masters in Development Management.
- 5-6 years of experience in partnerships, employer engagement, skilling, placements, or livelihood programs, preferably in the development sector.
- Experience working with vulnerable youth and knowledge about skilling/job placements ecosystem.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and analytical tools, with strong skills in preparing presentations and working with program data.
- Proficiency in both English and Hindi languages.
- Solid attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Willingness to travel: This position is based in Mumbai and will involve approximately 40% office-based work and 60% travel to meet potential and existing partners and support program locations. Travel will be across Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka and other states as the program expands.
