Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Design & Development / Engineering professional with strong exposure to Die Casting components. The incumbent will be responsible for engineering feasibility, design and development of die-cast components, supporting RFQ activities, new product development, APQP documentation, tooling/fixture development and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Aluminium/Zinc Die Casting, component development, engineering drawings, manufacturability, tooling and process feasibility, preferably from automotive or auto-component manufacturing organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Die Casting Component Design & Engineering
- Lead engineering and design activities for new and existing die-cast components.
- Review component drawings and specifications for manufacturability, dimensional requirements and die-casting feasibility.
- Identify design/process-related issues and provide engineering solutions in coordination with relevant teams.
- RFQ & Feasibility
- Conduct technical feasibility studies for machining and die-casting related parts received from customers.
- Review customer drawings, specifications and technical requirements and provide inputs for RFQ costing and development.
- Identify manufacturing processes, machines, tooling, fixtures and other technical requirements for new projects.
- Recent Product Development
- Handle end-to-end engineering activities for NPD projects at Sahibabad.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for successful development,



validation and launch of new components.
- Conduct online/offline FAI and support customer approvals for new product development projects.
- APQP & Engineering Documentation
- Review and verify engineering and APQP documents including PFD, Process FMEA, Control Plan and related NPD documentation.
- Ensure technical requirements and customer specifications are appropriately incorporated into the development process.
- Tooling, Fixtures & Process Development
- Develop and coordinate requirements for dies, machines, fixtures and other tooling related to new projects.
- Work closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure tooling/process readiness as per project requirements.

Additional Responsibilities :

- Supplier & Process Development
- Support development of suppliers in line with technical feasibility and project requirements.
- Coordinate with Purchase and suppliers for technical development-related activities.
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Conduct CFT meetings for new product development projects at Sahibabad.
- Coordinate with Quality, Production, Purchase, Stores and PPC for timely completion of development activities.
- Continuous Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement in new and existing components with the Quality and Plant teams.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in design, process, quality,



productivity and cost.
- Quality & Rejection Analysis
- Participate in daily rejection-bin analysis with the Plant team.
- Identify root causes and recommend engineering/process improvements to reduce rejection and improve product quality.
- Customer Interaction
- Interact with customers on technical and development-related matters as required.
- Support resolution of technical issues and ensure customer requirements are effectively communicated to internal teams.

Candidate Profile

- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical / Production / Automobile / Mechatronics or relevant engineering discipline.
- Experience: Approximately 8–12 years in Engineering / Design & Development / Product Development.
- Industry: Automotive / Auto Components / Engineering Manufacturing.
- Mandatory / Strong Preference: Hands-on experience in Die Casting / Die-Cast Components.
- Strong understanding of die-casting processes, component manufacturability, tooling/die concepts, machining and engineering feasibility.
- Experience in NPD, APQP, FMEA, Control Plan, PFD and FAI.
- Ability to understand and review engineering drawings, GD&T; and customer specifications.
- Exposure to die, fixture, machine and process development.
- Good cross-functional coordination and customer interaction skills.
- Experience with Aluminium / Zinc die-cast components will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
