AgResearch Labs (ARL) is an agri-tech company building climate-smart clean-food infrastructure with a mission to make clean food affordable for all. We combine agricultural technology, engineering and software to build scalable systems for pesticide-free food production—from farm management and automation to enterprise platforms, investor applications and data systems.

With over a decade of technology development, ARL has been recognised among India’s Top 100 DeepTech startups by NASSCOM-2026 and has been part of Stanford Seed Spark, IIM Bangalore NSRCEL and RKVY-RAFTAAR. As we scale, we are building our technology team in-house and are looking for young engineers who want to work on real production systems, learn rapid, take ownership and grow with the company.

About the Role

This is a 6-month paid internship designed as the first stage of ARL’s engineering talent pathway.

You will work with our engineering team on real production applications across frontend, backend, databases and testing.

You are not expected to know everything when you join. We care about strong fundamentals, curiosity, problem-solving ability and how quickly you learn.

Key Responsibilities

- Build and improve features across ARL’s digital products.
- Work from specifications and acceptance criteria.
- Fix bugs and understand existing code before changing it.
- Write automated tests and validate your own work.
- Work with APIs,



databases and business workflows.
- Participate in code reviews and explain your technical decisions.
- Document what you build.
- Communicate blockers early and ask good questions.

Working with AI

We use AI tools actively in engineering and expect you to use them too.

Use AI to understand code, prototype, debug, test and work faster. But you must understand and verify everything you submit. Code you cannot explain does not ship.

What We Are Looking For

- Working knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with React/Next.js or Node.js.
- Comfortable with Git and a terminal.
- Strong logical and problem-solving ability.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn unfamiliar systems.
- Ability to take feedback and improve quickly.
- Ability to communicate clearly when stuck.

Projects, hackathons, coursework or things you have built yourself matter more to us than certificates.

Internship Pathway

Strong performers may subsequently be considered for a full-time engineering role at ARL, subject to performance and business requirements.
