Job Summary

We are looking for a Jr. Operator – Production to support day-to-day chemical plant operations. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring process parameters, operating plant equipment, handling field and control room activities, and ensuring secure and efficient production as per SOPs and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor chemical process plant equipment as per SOPs and operating procedures.
- Monitor critical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow, level, pH, etc.
- Perform field operations and control room operations as required.
- Monitor DCS/PLC systems and ensure process parameters are maintained within specified limits.
- Support batch and continuous process operations.
- Conduct routine plant rounds and inspections and report any abnormalities.
- Follow production schedules and support the team in achieving daily production targets.
- Ensure proper handling, transfer and storage of chemicals as per safety procedures.
- Follow SOPs, work permits, PPE requirements and EHS guidelines.




- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Quality and EHS teams for smooth plant operations.
- Maintain production, logbook and shift-related records accurately.
- Identify and report process deviations, equipment abnormalities and unsafe conditions.
- Support troubleshooting activities in coordination with the Production and Maintenance teams.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and follow 5S practices in the production area.

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of chemical process plant operations.
- Knowledge of DCS/PLC operation and process parameter monitoring.
- Basic understanding of batch process operations.
- Knowledge of plant equipment and field instruments.
- Understanding of parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow, level and pH.
- Good knowledge of chemical handling and industrial safety.
- Ability to follow SOPs, work permits and safety procedures.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-identification skills.
- Good observation and monitoring skills.
- Ability to maintain shift logbooks and production records.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
