Role & responsibilities

- Design new jewellery collections including rings, earrings, necklaces, bracelets, pendants and other jewellery pieces.
- Develop original and commercially viable jewellery concepts based on current trends and customer preferences.
- Create hand sketches, technical drawings and/or digital jewellery designs.
- Convert concepts into production-ready designs with accurate measurements and specifications.
- Work closely with the production/manufacturing team to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective to manufacture.
- Research current jewellery trends, designs, materials and market preferences.
- Create variations and modifications of existing designs based on business requirements.
- Assist in developing seasonal, festive and new product collections for Roovi.
- Maintain proper records of designs, specifications and revisions.
- Coordinate with the team to ensure the final product matches the approved design.

Requirements

Preferred candidate profile





- 1-3 years of experience in jewellery designing preferred.
- Strong understanding of silver jewellery design and manufacturing.
- Good knowledge of jewellery proportions, measurements, stones and finishing.
- Solid creative sense with an understanding of contemporary jewellery trends.
- knowledge with jewellery design software such as Rhino, Matrix, JewelCAD, CorelDRAW or similar tools will be an advantage.
- Ability to create clean and detailed sketches.
- Good understanding of production feasibility and jewellery costing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work within deadlines.
