About the Opportunity

HummingBird is hiring a J2EE Developer on behalf of its client, a leading technology organization in the NCR region.

We are looking for an experienced J2EE Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade Java applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java/J2EE technologies, web application development, database integration, and modern software-development practices.

The successful candidate will work closely with architects, developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Java/J2EE technologies .
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable software solutions.
- Develop and maintain web applications, backend services, and RESTful APIs.
- Implement application components using Java, J2EE, Spring, and related technologies.
- Develop reusable, maintainable, and high-quality code following established coding standards.
- Integrate applications with relational databases and external systems.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Identify and resolve application defects and production issues.




- Participate in code reviews and contribute to software quality and development best practices.
- Collaborate with QA teams to support test planning, defect resolution, and release activities.
- Work with DevOps teams on application deployment, CI/CD, and production support.
- Participate in technical design and architecture discussions.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and release activities.
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4–8 years of professional experience in Java/J2EE development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Core Java and J2EE technologies .
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Java development principles.
- Experience with Spring/Spring Boot , Hibernate, or similar frameworks.
- Hands-on experience developing web applications and RESTful APIs .
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web application concepts.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar.
- Experience with Git or other version-control systems.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.





Preferred Technical Skills Experience with several of the following will be an advantage:

- Java: Java 8/11/17 or later.
- J2EE: Servlets, JSP, JDBC, JMS, JPA.
- Frameworks: Spring, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate.
- Web Technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript.
- Frontend: Angular, React, or similar frameworks.
- APIs: REST, SOAP, JSON, XML.
- Databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server.
- Application Servers: WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss/WildFly, Tomcat.
- Microservices: Spring Cloud and related technologies.
- DevOps: Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, or equivalent.
- Cloud: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Testing: JUnit, Mockito, or similar tools.
- Experience with messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is a plus.
