Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled IT Analyst Applications (Java Developer) to join Order Fulfillment Procurement - Cat IT Division team. The role involves developing, enhancing, and supporting business-critical Procurement, Supply Chain, and Sales applications. The ideal candidate will have strong Java development expertise, experience with enterprise application support, and a willingness to work closely with business stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable solutions.

The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore - Caterpillar PSN

This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule.

Shift Timing : 01:00-10:00PM IST

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.
- Support Procurement, Supply Chain, and Sales applications across development and production environments.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Develop APIs, integrations, and backend services for enterprise platforms.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams.
- Participate in application modernization, enhancement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices.
- Support application deployments, testing, and release activities.
- Contribute to Agile development processes and sprint delivery.

Required Technical Skills

- 3 to 5 years of experience in Java application development.

- Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, or similar relational databases.
- Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Experience working with cloud platforms and enterprise integrations is preferred.
- Understanding of application support and incident management processes.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Procurement, Supply Chain, or Sales business applications.
- Knowledge of integration technologies such as SnapLogic, APIs, or messaging platforms.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS, or enterprise data platforms.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience supporting global business applications and stakeholders.
