Role Description: The IGCSE English FLE (0500) and Literature (0475) Educator is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai at Shannon’s English Academy – SEA.

1. The educator will plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with IGCSE syllabi, focusing on reading comprehension, critical analysis, structured writing, and exam preparation.
2. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing rigorous learning materials, guiding interactive seminars and discussions, mentoring learners through feedback on essays and assignments,



and conducting regular assessments to track progress.
3. The role also involves collaborating with the academic team to refine curriculum, communicating with learners and families about performance, and supporting specialised skill tracks such as creative writing and literary analysis.
4. The educator is expected to foster an engaging classroom atmosphere that encourages independent thinking, articulate communication, and strong examination outcomes.

Qualifications

- Robust proficiency in English Teaching, with experience delivering IGCSE English FLE (0500) and Literature (0475) or similar international curricula.
- Excellent Communication skills, including the ability to explain complex texts clearly, lead discussions, and provide constructive feedback.
- Training skills to design and facilitate workshops, skill tracks, and targeted exam-preparation sessions.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field; formal teacher training or certification is an advantage.
- Prior experience teaching IGCSE, CAIE, IB, or comparable international programs in an on-site classroom setting.
- Strong classroom management, lesson planning, and assessment design capabilities, with familiarity in discussion-based and seminar-style pedagogy.
- Comfort with using digital tools for lesson materials, tracking learner progress, and communicating with stakeholders.
