Incharge - ICU Nurse An ICU Nurse-in-Charge manages daily patient care activities, oversees critical care nursing staff, and coordinates medical resources in the Intensive Care Unit.
- Directs shift operations, assigns patient loads based on acuity, and ensures 24/7 staff coverage.
- Clinical Oversight: Monitors high-acuity patients, evaluates care plans, and assists with emergency procedures like intubation or resuscitation.
- Staff Mentorship: Guides, trains, and evaluates junior nurses and support staff.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Communicates patient status updates between bedside nurses, attending physicians, and specialists.
- Quality & Safety Compliance: Enforces strict infection control, medication safety, and hospital accreditation protocols.
- Resource Management:
Inspects and maintains specialized critical care equipment (such as ventilators and hemodynamic monitors) and manages unit supplies.
Preferred candidate profile
- Licensure & Education: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a M.Sc. nursing degree.
- Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and critical care certifications.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 to 6 years of clinical nursing experience after B.Sc. Nursing with specific background working in an ICU or critical care setting.
- Must have relevant experience.
