Role Description The HR Manager Intern role at Laneway is a remote internship focused on supporting core people operations in a dynamic consulting setting. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with end-to-end recruitment activities such as sourcing candidates, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and maintaining accurate talent pipelines.
The intern will help coordinate onboarding processes, update HR documentation and policies, and support employee engagement initiatives and performance feedback cycles. This role also involves maintaining HR data and records, preparing reports,
and collaborating with managers to improve people processes and workplace culture. The HR Manager Intern will work closely with leadership to learn best practices in HR management while contributing to a growing, next-gen organization.
Qualifications
- Strong interest and foundational knowledge in Human Resources, including recruitment, onboarding, and basic HR policies and procedures.
- Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, video conferencing platforms, and HR or applicant tracking systems is a plus).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly and interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, including attention to detail, task prioritization, and the ability to work effectively in a remote setting.
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset, with an interest in using data and feedback to improve HR processes and employee experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving business needs.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Prior internship, project, or coursework related to HR, talent management, or organizational development is beneficial but not required.
