NRole Overview

nWe are looking for an experienced SAP Basis & Security Administrator to manage and support the SAP platform across system administration, HANA database operations, upgrades, patching, transport management, performance tuning, role design, authorization management, Segregation of Duties, and security architecture.

NThe role requires end-to-end technical ownership of the SAP landscape, ensuring systems remain available, patched, performant, secure, and audit-ready while managing the complete technical change path from development through production.

NThis is a Level 3 / Level4 Application Support role requiring solid hands-on troubleshooting, proactive system monitoring, security governance, and permanent resolution of complex technical issues.

NKey Responsibilities

nPlan and execute SAP system copies, refreshes, migrations, and upgrades with documented rollback plans

NApply support packs, kernel updates, SAP Notes, and manage the maintenance calendar

NPerform system and HANA database performance tuning and act on SAP EarlyWatch findings

NManage transport landscapes, transport routes, import queues, and release governance

NProactively monitor system health,



background jobs, interfaces, dumps, and technical issues before user impact

NDefine SAP role design strategy and build and maintain single and composite roles

NTroubleshoot and resolve authorization defects and access issues

NPerform Segregation of Duties analysis and support remediation with process owners and GRC teams

NManage user provisioning,emergency access, and periodic access-review evidence for audits

NSupport High Availability, Disaster Recovery testing, and backup validation

NMaintain SAP landscape documentation, technical runbooks, and security concepts

NOwn technical changes across development, quality, and production environments

NRequired / Mandatory Skills

NStrong hands-on SAP Basisadministration experience on S/4HANA with SAP HANA Database

NExperience in SAP installation, system copy, refresh, migration, upgrade, and patching activities

NStrong transport management and landscape governance experience in live production environments

NExperience managing transport routes, import queues, and release governance

NStrong performance analysis and troubleshooting skills across work processes, memory, and HANA statements

NHands-on experience with ST03, ST22, SM50, HANA Studio, and/or HANA Cockpit





NStrong SAP Security experience including role design, single roles, composite roles, and authorization management

NHands-on experience with authorization trace and defect analysis using SU53, ST01, and SUIM

NStrong understanding of Segregation of Duties concepts and remediation alongside SAP GRC

NExperience in user provisioning, emergency access, and periodic access reviews

NExperience with SAP EarlyWatch findings and performance optimization

NExperience supporting High Availability, Disaster Recovery testing, and backup validation

NStrong troubleshooting experience across system health, background jobs, interfaces, and dumps

NExperience maintaining SAP landscape documentation, runbooks, and security concepts

NStrong change governance,production support, and Root Cause Analysis capability

NPreferred / Good-to-Have Skills

NExperience with SAP environments hosted on Azure, AWS, or GCP

NExposure to RISE with SAP

NExperience with SAP Solution Manager Technical Monitoring

NExposure to SAP Cloud ALM

NExperience with ITIL-aligned Change and Problem Management

NExperience working withinan AMS / Application Management Services environment

NPreferred Certifications

NSAP Certified Technology Specialist – System Administration / SAP HANA / OS-DB Migration

NSAP Certified Security Professional

NSAP Basis & Security Administration Advanced Training

NITIL Intermediate / Service Operations Certification
