Summary

We are seeking a dedicated MySQL Database Administrator with 3-5 years of skilled experience to lead the management of critical incidents, service requests, and operational modifications. This pivotal role focuses on maintaining database integrity and performance through proactive troubleshooting, rigorous incident analysis, and strict adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs). The successful candidate will drive continuous service improvement by executing strategic changes, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the highest standards of production support.

Responsibilities

- Manage and resolve P2/P3 incidents by conducting initial triage, deep-dive troubleshooting, and ensuring all issues are closed within established SLA timeframes.
- Deliver comprehensive MySQL database administration and production support, addressing critical database anomalies and performance bottlenecks.
- Execute software, hardware, network, and database-related service requests promptly while adhering to agreed-upon delivery schedules.
- Oversee incident SLA compliance, facilitate timely escalations, and serve as the primary liaison between internal technical teams and external clients.
- Develop, approve, and implement Change Requests (CRs) aligned with incident resolution needs and broader operational objectives.
- Formulate detailed implementation and rollback strategies, actively participate in change advisory boards, and document post-implementation outcomes.




- Investigate recurring incident patterns to drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA), developing effective mitigation plans to prevent future occurrences.
- Identify trends in database performance and incidents to propose long-term solutions that reduce system instability.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all incidents, diagnostic observations, resolution steps, and root cause findings.
- Engage in regular service review sessions to provide insights and contribute to ongoing service enhancement initiatives.

Requirements

- Proven expertise in MySQL Database Administration within live production environments.
- Strong capability in production support, including rapid troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Solid understanding of IT service management frameworks, specifically Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively under SLA-driven support models.
- Proficiency in conducting Root Cause Analysis and maintaining comprehensive incident documentation.
- Exceptional analytical and diagnostic skills with a focus on problem - solving.
- Experience thriving in high-priority, 24/7 production support settings.

Preferred Profile
- Hands-on experience supporting MySQL databases in enterprise-grade production environments.
- Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM methodologies and best practices.
- Proven track record of managing P2/P3 incidents and executing Change Requests.
