8-10 years of experience, with 3-5 years in a Plant Head role

We are looking for a Manufacturing Head who is, above all, a strong leader: someone to take charge of the entire manufacturing floor and the 75+ people across fabrication, machining, hydraulics, assembly and testing; build a disciplined and motivated team; and own the delivery, cost and build quality the Himalaya name stands for.

This is a hands-on leadership role in industrial machinery manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience managing a complex, engineered-to-order or heavy-engineering manufacturing environment, where fabrication, machining, assembly and final machine build come together to deliver large, high-value machines.

Scope of the Role

- Direct responsibility for 75+ employees across fabrication, machining, hydraulics, assembly and testing.
- Own the complete manufacturing cycle from production planning through final machine testing and pre-dispatch inspection.
- Work closely with Design/Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Sales and Management to ensure machines are built to specification and delivered on time.
- Manage production capacity, manpower, bottlenecks, subcontracting and shop-floor priorities.
- Develop and empower supervisors and production leaders to create a strong second line of leadership.
- Build a culture where quality, delivery and accountability are non-negotiable.

- Reduce avoidable manufacturing costs, material wastage and overtime.
- Build a stronger second line of supervisors and production leaders.
- Establish clear manufacturing KPIs and use data to drive decisions.
- Drive process improvement, modernisation, selective automation and better use of technology across the shop floor.

Must Have

- 8+ years of manufacturing experience, with 3–5 years in a Plant Head, Manufacturing Head, Production Head or equivalent role.
- Experience in industrial machinery, machine building, heavy engineering, fabrication and/or machining.
- Experience managing a sizeable manufacturing team and owning production, quality and delivery.
- Proven ability to build systems, processes and accountability on the shop floor.
- Strong understanding of production planning, capacity management and manufacturing KPIs.
- B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
- A hands-on, quality-first mindset with genuine ownership of the finished machine, not just the individual production process.
