We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head Human Resources to lead the people function for a fast-growing NBFC/Fintech organization. The role will be responsible for building a high-performance, compliant, scalable and employee-centric organization aligned with the company's business and growth objectives.
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in financial services, NBFC, fintech, lending, digital payments or BFSI, with a proven track record of managing HR across business growth, technology, sales, operations, risk, collections and corporate functions.

Reporting To: CEO / MD / Board / Group CHRO
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Strategy & Business Partnership
- Develop and execute the overall HR strategy aligned with the company's business plan and growth agenda.
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team on organization design, workforce planning and people strategy.
- Build HR as a strategic business partner across technology, product, sales, operations, credit, risk, collections and corporate functions.
- Drive organizational effectiveness, productivity and employee engagement.
2. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Build a robust talent acquisition strategy for leadership, technology, digital, sales, risk, credit, operations and corporate roles.
- Develop talent pipelines for critical and niche fintech/BFSI positions.
- Drive manpower planning, hiring budgets and recruitment productivity.
- Strengthen employer branding and employee value proposition.
3. Talent Management & Succession Planning
- Establish a strong performance management and talent review framework.
- Identify high-potential employees and create succession plans for critical roles.
- Build leadership development and career progression programs.
- Drive internal mobility and retention of key talent.
4. Compensation & Benefits
- Design competitive compensation structures aligned with fintech/BFSI market benchmarks.
- Lead annual compensation reviews, incentive structures, sales incentives and variable pay programs.
- Ensure internal equity and appropriate governance around compensation.
- Partner with leadership on ESOPs/LTIPs, where applicable.
5. Culture & Employee Engagement
- Build a high-performance, ownership-driven and ethical culture.
- Develop employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Strengthen communication, leadership connect and employee experience.
- Drive culture integration during rapid growth, restructuring or acquisitions.
6. HR Operations, Policies & Compliance
- Ensure robust HR policies, processes and systems across the organization.
- Oversee HR operations, payroll, employee lifecycle management and HR technology.
- Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and regulatory requirements.
- Establish appropriate HR governance, documentation, controls and audit readiness.
- Work closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk and Internal Audit teams wherever required.
7. Learning & Development
- Identify organization-wide capability gaps and develop targeted learning programs.
- Build leadership, managerial and functional capability frameworks.
- Establish onboarding and learning journeys for critical employee segments.
- Measure training effectiveness and business impact.
8. Employee Relations
- Establish effective grievance-management and employee-relations processes.
- Handle sensitive employee matters with confidentiality, fairness and sound judgment.
- Develop appropriate disciplinary and conduct-management frameworks.
- Foster a professional, inclusive and respectful workplace.

HR Analytics & Technology
- Build HR dashboards and people analytics covering attrition, hiring, productivity, engagement, compensation and workforce costs.
- Leverage HR technology/HRMS to automate and improve employee processes.
- Use data-driven insights to support leadership decision-making.
10. Leadership & Team Management
- Lead and develop the HR team across HRBP, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, L&D;, C&B; and employee engagement.
- Build a scalable HR organization capable of supporting rapid business growth.
- Establish clear HR KPIs, governance mechanisms and service standards.
Education:
- 12-15+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably with significant exposure to NBFC, fintech, BFSI, lending, digital financial services or regulated financial institutions
- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources or equivalent qualification.
- Additional qualifications in organizational development, compensation or employment law would be an advantage.
Experience:
- Experience managing HR for a high-growth or transformation-oriented organization.
- Prior experience partnering with CXOs and senior leadership is essential.
- Experience in scaling organizations, building teams and managing organizational change.

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will be a business-oriented HR leader, rather than a purely HR-operations professional, who can balance rapid growth with governance and compliance. Experience in building people practices for a regulated, technology-driven financial services business will be highly preferred.
