Job Purpose To manage the day-to-day operations of the gym, ensure an excellent member experience, drive membership sales and retention, maintain facility standards, and lead the gym team toward operational and revenue targets.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the daily operations of the gym and ensure smooth functioning.

Supervise trainers, front-desk staff, and other gym personnel.

Drive new membership sales, renewals, upgrades, and customer retention.

Handle member enquiries, complaints, feedback, and service issues professionally.

Set and monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.

Follow up with leads and convert enquiries into memberships.

Maintain proper records of memberships, payments, leads, renewals, and customer interactions.

Monitor gym equipment, cleanliness, safety, and overall facility standards.

Coordinate with management regarding equipment maintenance, repairs, stock, and operational requirements.

Ensure staff attendance, discipline, grooming, and adherence to company policies.

Conduct regular team meetings and monitor individual staff performance.

Support local marketing activities, promotions, events, and membership campaigns.

Track competitor activities and provide suggestions to improve customer acquisition and retention.

Prepare daily/weekly/monthly operational and sales reports for management.

Required Skills

2+ years of experience as a Gym Manager, Fitness Centre Manager, Club Manager, or similar role.

Strong knowledge of gym/facility operations and membership sales.

Good team management and leadership skills.

Strong communication and customer-handling skills.

Ability to achieve sales and revenue targets.

Valuable problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Basic knowledge of MS Excel/Google Sheets and reporting.

Ability to manage multiple operational activities efficiently.

Qualification

Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification preferred.

Certification in Fitness Management/Sports Management will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with proven experience in gym operations, membership sales, team management, customer retention, and revenue generation will be preferred.
