A consultant is responsible for successfully implementing the software package and solutions for clients across geographies.

This position is ideally suitable for a candidate with –

1. Strong expertise in SQL programming, knowhow of IT project implementations, exposure to waterfall and/or Agile methodologies in IT delivery, strong experience in development & testing, and customer interactions.
2. Knowledge of Global Trade Management (GTM) as a domain that includes one or more of the following - Import/ Export Compliance, Free Trade Agreement, Supply Chain Compliance, Denied/Restricted Party screening or Classification of products/SKUs. Knowledge of Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing or Logistics is also welcome.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Able to work as a team member or a team lead, have regular interaction with customers, and maintain good working relationships with the customer. Able to work on multiple project deliverables in line with customer objectivesand milestones.
- Able to work across multiple team(s) within Thomson Reuters (development, support, presales, propositions, sales) in a collaborative setup and bring out the best to deliver projects on time.
- Identify customer needs, work with the team to tailor a proposed solution to meet such needs & implement the solution.
- Conduct (or participate in) business requirements sessions with the customer to understand, analyze the needs & evaluate fitment of product to requirements.
- Able to quickly gain working knowledge of products/solutions of Global Trade and implement the solution(s) as an implementation consultant. Good knowhow of implementation lifecycle and/or SDLC lifecycle is a must. Should have performed hands-on implementation for a minimum of 1-2 lifecycle IT projects.
- Train the client on product features and on how to use it meaningfully.



Deliver outstanding customer service conveying commitment to ensuring timely and quality solutions to customer requirements.
- Able to work on technical development as part of the team – primarily on SQL.
- Understand QA processes that include unit testing, regression testing, System Integration Testing, User Acceptance Testing and knowledge of industry testing tools is welcome.
- Build necessary project documentation as instructed / required.
- Knowledge and knowhow of using AI tools for development and testing is welcome.
- Travel to client location for implementation(s) as required.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE -

- A minimum of 12+3 or 12+4 years of education with strong exposure to Information Technology and/or Business Management
- Relevant expertise of 4 to 10 years of SQL IT (tech) programming
- Exposure to Global Trade knowledge and Supply Chain
- Experience in the areas of Implementation or Product Development or Support
- Expertise in Microsoft Office applications and working knowledge of tools such as JIRA
- Knowledgeable of TR’s products or competitor products is an advantage
- Strong consulting, influencing and client relationship management skills
- Detail oriented, valuable planning, organization and time management skills
- Experience working in and collaborating with a globally distributed team environment
- Hands on problem solver, excellent communication & inter-personal skills, analytical and presentation skills
- Possess a positive learning attitude
- Working knowledge of large IT systems such as SAP or Oracle is an advantage
- Working for customers in Japan/China is welcome, but not mandatory
- Additional language(s) such as Chinese or Japanese is also welcome, but not mandatory
