ROLE SUMMARY
What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
Partner with the DBS Productivity & Transformation team to serve as the primary interface between the organisation and its service providers. The role is accountable for driving vendor performance, ensuring contractual and regulatory compliance, enabling continuous improvement, and maximizing value realization across supplier relationships.ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Manage day‑to‑day relationships with external vendors and strategic vendors.
- Conduct regular vendor review meetings addressing performance, risks, financials, and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure vendor compliance with contractual, regulatory, information security, and internal governance requirements.
- Support vendor selection, onboarding, contract renewals, and offboarding activities
- Track vendors spend, budgets, and forecasts; challenge and validate invoices and rate cards.
- Ensure value-for-money and adherence to agreed commercial terms.
- Actively identify cost optimization, efficiency gains, and innovation opportunities from vendors.
- Serve as a trusted partner to business stakeholders, acting as the single point of accountability for service outcomes.
- Facilitate service governance forums and steering committees.
- Identify and manage service and vendor-related risks.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
- Drive service quality, process maturity, and operational resilience.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
ESSENTIAL
Experience Required
- Knowledge on service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL / ITSM, COBIT - preferred)
- Strong understanding of outsourcing and managed services models
- Understanding of contracts with commercial and negotiation acumen and vendor life‑cycle management
- Performance metrics, reporting, and data‑driven decision making
- Strong stakeholder management and working with cross-functional teams
- Analytical thinking and structured problem solving
- Ability to work in matrixed, multi‑vendor environments
- Comfortable operating at pace and with ambiguity, able and willing to pivot where necessary.
- Strong inter-personal skills to ensure delivery across multiple stakeholders in very varied teams and disciplines.
- Highly organised, self-driven with attention to detail.
- Have strong planning, communication and presentation skills along with the capability to listen and influence at all levels of the organisation
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
Professional Certifications (Preferred, not mandatory)
- ITIL® Foundation / ITIL® Managing Qualified (or equivalent ITSM certification)
- COBIT Foundation or Practitioner
- Project or Program Management Certification (e.g., PMP®, PRINCE2®, Agile)
- Procurement, Supplier Management, or Commercial Certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM)
- Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt / Black Belt) - desirable for continuous improvement focus
