Role Description The General Manager, Rameswaram is a full-time, on-site leadership role responsible for overseeing all hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and guest services. The role involves managing daily performance of teams, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining service standards, and driving revenue and profitability.
The General
Manager will develop and implement operational plans, manage budgets, monitor key performance indicators, and ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and regulatory requirements. This position also focuses on staff recruitment, training, and engagement,
as well as building strong relationships with guests, corporate clients, travel partners, and local stakeholders. The role requires active involvement in local community initiatives and brand-building activities to enhance Daiwik Hotels’ reputation in Rameswaram.
Qualifications
- Strong hotel operations management experience, including front office, housekeeping, and food and beverage oversight.
- Proven skills in revenue management, budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting for hospitality operations.
- Leadership and people management capabilities, including team building, performance management, and staff development.
- Excellent guest relations, customer service, and conflict resolution skills, with a focus on service excellence.
- Experience in sales, marketing, and relationship management with corporates, travel agents, and event organizers.
- Ability to ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and regulatory standards, and to implement operational best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English; knowledge of regional languages is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced certifications are a plus.
- Prior experience as a General Manager or senior leadership role in hotels or resorts
- Demonstrated commitment to community engagement and sustainability initiatives.
