Full Stack MERN Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE)

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Full Stack MERN Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) who can work directly with customers to understand complex, ambiguous problems and build production-ready web applications and technical solutions.

You will work closely with customers, understand their workflows, identify the real problem, design the solution, and take it from discovery → prototype → development → deployment → production.

Responsibilities

- Work directly with customers to understand their business, technical requirements, and workflows.
- Visit client locations when required to understand problems and gather requirements.
- Translate ambiguous business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Build and maintain end-to-end web applications using the MERN stack.
- Develop responsive frontend applications using React.js / Next.js.
- Build scalable backend services and APIs using Node.js, Express.js, and related technologies.
- Work with MongoDB, databases, third-party APIs, integrations, and authentication systems.
- Contribute hands-on across frontend, backend, APIs, integrations, debugging, and deployment.
- Build prototypes quickly and convert them into reliable, production-ready applications.
- Own deployments end-to-end and continuously improve solutions based on customer feedback.




- Work in a fast-paced startup environment with high ownership and ambiguity.

Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on Full Stack development experience.
- Prior FDE / Forward Deployed / customer-facing engineering experience is strongly preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js (MERN).
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Experience building and integrating REST APIs, third-party APIs, and backend services.
- Experience with authentication, databases, integrations, debugging, and system design.
- Experience deploying production applications on AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar cloud platforms.
- Robust problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to understand business problems and convert them into practical technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to customer locations as required.
