About the Role

We are looking for an Export Sales Executive who will be responsible for developing new business for international shipments moving from India to the USA and other global destinations.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of international freight forwarding, ocean exports, shipping lines, export documentation, and customer acquisition and should be comfortable speaking with exporters, manufacturers, traders, and businesses that regularly ship internationally.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and develop new customers involved in exports from India to the USA and other international markets.
- Generate new business through cold calling, email outreach, references, industry networks, and market research.
- Target manufacturers, exporters, traders, and SMEs with regular international shipping requirements.
- Understand customer requirements and provide suitable ocean freight / logistics solutions.
- Generate and follow up on quotations and convert enquiries into confirmed shipments.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with exporters and key decision-makers.
- Coordinate with the Pricing and Operations teams to provide competitive freight rates and service solutions.
- Follow up on enquiries, quotations, pending shipments, and customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales activity records in the company's CRM/software.
- Achieve monthly sales, calling, enquiry, conversion, and revenue targets.
- Develop a strong pipeline of customers and maintain regular follow-ups.
- Monitor competitor pricing and market conditions.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer experience from enquiry through shipment execution.
- Focus on developing recurring export business, rather than one-time transactions.

Candidates with existing experience or contacts among Indian exporters shipping to the USA will be strongly preferred. Who We Are Looking For The candidate should have:

- Experience in Freight Forwarding / Shipping / Logistics / NVOCC / Export Sales.
- Good understanding of Ocean Export shipments.
- Knowledge of shipping lines, freight rates, documentation and export processes.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to independently generate leads and convert them into customers.
- Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls and following up consistently.
- Strong customer relationship management skills.
- Ability to work with sales targets and performance metrics.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office and CRM/software platforms.

Important

This is a target-driven Export Sales position.

The candidate is expected to actively generate current business, make outbound calls, follow up with prospects, develop customer relationships and convert export enquiries into actual shipments.

This is not a passive customer-service role.
