Freelance Human Resources Consultant – AstroPrrofound

AstroProffound is looking for an experienced Freelance Human Resources Consultant to help us build and strengthen our people and HR practices as we grow.

This role is ideal for an HR professional who is comfortable working with an early-stage company and can take ownership of HR processes, hiring support, employee engagement, policies, and compliance while helping us build a strong and professional work culture.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and implement practical HR policies, processes, and documentation suitable for an early-stage startup.
- Support recruitment, including job descriptions, candidate screening, interview processes, and onboarding.
- Help establish structured employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
- Advise management on employee relations, performance management, workplace concerns, and HR best practices.
- Set up and maintain appropriate HR documentation and employee records.
- Assist with developing compensation, leave, attendance, and performance frameworks.
- Ensure HR practices are aligned with applicable Indian employment laws and regulations.
- Help establish professional workplace policies covering areas such as confidentiality, code of conduct, remote work, leave,



and employee responsibilities.
- Provide guidance on building a healthy, productive, and accountable company culture.
- Identify HR gaps and recommend practical solutions as the company scales.
- Work closely with the founders/leadership team on people-related decisions and organizational development.

What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of relevant HR experience , preferably with exposure to startups or growing companies.
- Strong understanding of HR operations, recruitment, employee relations, and HR policies.
- Working knowledge of Indian employment laws and statutory HR requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership without requiring extensive supervision.
- Comfortable working remotely with a distributed team.
- A practical, startup-oriented mindset — we value people who can build systems rather than simply follow existing ones.
