We are looking for a Forward-Deployed AI Engineer to design, build, and operationalize AI-enabled solutions across multiple business use cases. This is a hands-on Individual Contributor role requiring strong software engineering, AI solution development, data integration, cloud deployment, and business problem-solving skills.

The engineer will work closely with business stakeholders, product teams, data partners, and engineering teams to translate operational problems into working prototypes, production-ready applications, automations, and decision-support tools.

Responsibilities

- Build and enhance AI-enabled applications supporting business operations, exception management, analytics, and workflow automation.
- Develop backend services and APIs using Python, FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar frameworks.
- Build integrations with databases, APIs, files, cloud platforms, and enterprise data sources.
- Develop lightweight user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Integrate LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, semantic search, summarization, classification, and natural language capabilities into business applications.
- Work with structured and unstructured enterprise data.
- Develop solutions for anomaly detection, operational alerting, workflow automation, decision support, and data quality improvement.
- Deploy and support applications on AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms.
- Work with Docker/containerized applications, cloud networking, logging, monitoring, and secrets management.
- Implement authentication and authorization using Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth2, SSO, and RBAC.
- Write and maintain automated tests using pytest or similar frameworks.
- Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements, validate prototypes, gather feedback, and iterate solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and take ownership of applications after deployment.

Required Skills Python, Backend & API Development





- 8.6+ years of hands-on Python development experience.
- Strong understanding of async/await, context managers, decorators, type hints, and modular application design.
- Experience with FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar Python frameworks.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP concepts, authentication, API integrations, and background jobs.
- Experience with automated testing using pytest or similar frameworks.

AI / GenAI

- Hands-on experience applying AI/ML or Generative AI to practical business problems.
- Experience with LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, semantic search, document processing, classification, summarization, or natural language interfaces.
- Experience integrating AI/model APIs into applications, prototypes, or automation workflows.
- Ability to determine when AI is appropriate versus deterministic rules, workflow logic, or traditional analytics.
- Experience designing human-in-the-loop solutions and validating AI-generated outputs.

SQL, Data & Integration

- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large operational datasets.
- Experience with Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, or similar relational databases.
- Experience integrating APIs, flat files, cloud storage, and enterprise data sources.
- Ability to understand data models and transform raw data into application logic or business insights.
- Experience with query performance analysis and optimization.
- Familiarity with SQLite or similar embedded databases.

Cloud, Infrastructure & DevOps

- Experience deploying applications on AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized application deployment.
- Exposure to Kubernetes, ECS Fargate, Azure App Services, or equivalent platforms.
- Understanding of cloud networking, load balancers, security groups, private subnets, NAT gateways,



and environment configuration.
- Experience with secrets management, logging, monitoring, health checks, and operational diagnostics.
- Understanding of IAM and least-privilege access patterns.

Frontend

- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Ability to build simple business-facing screens for alerts, recommendations, metrics, exceptions, and workflows.
- Experience with Fetch APIs, DOM manipulation, forms, tables, filters, and session-based interactions.
- Comfortable working without heavy frontend frameworks when simplicity and maintainability are priorities.

Security & Identity

- Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID / Azure SSO.
- Understanding of app registrations, redirect URIs, app roles, user assignment, and OAuth2 Authorization Code Flow.
- Experience supporting role-based access control.
- Awareness of enterprise security, least privilege, credential protection, auditability, data protection, and responsible AI.

Good to Have
- Experience with GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience with Microsoft Graph API.
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, or other Microsoft 365 services.
- Experience integrating shared mailboxes, notifications, approvals, and escalation workflows.
- Experience with pytest-asyncio, httpx, test clients, mocks, and integration testing.
- Strong technical documentation and troubleshooting skills.
