Role Description The Food Tech Content Writer is a part-time, remote role responsible for creating clear, engaging, and accurate content related to food science and food technology careers. Day-to-day tasks include researching industry trends, writing and editing web articles, blog posts, social media copy, and newsletter content that highlight career guidance, internships, and job updates.

The role involves collaborating with the Food Tech Bytes team to identify relevant topics, maintain a consistent brand voice, and optimize content for readability and audience engagement.

Writer will also ensure all content is fact-checked, aligned with the latest industry developments, and delivered within agreed deadlines.

Qualifications

- Pursuing or completed graduation in Food Science/Food Technology.
- Strong Web Content Writing and general Writing skills, with the ability to communicate technical food science and food technology topics in an accessible way.
- Experience in Content Strategy and Research to plan topics, identify audience needs, and support articles with credible sources.
- Proficiency in Proofreading and basic Editing to ensure accuracy, clarity, grammar, and consistency across all content.
- Familiarity or background in food science, food technology, or a related discipline is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage part-time hours effectively, and meet content deadlines.
- Strong written communication skills in English and attention to detail; experience with blogs, newsletters, or social media is a plus.
- Comfort with using online collaboration tools and content management or publishing platforms.
