We are seeking a Fleet Data Specialist (FDS) Manager to lead a team of 4 Fleet Data Specialists while remaining actively involved in operational data activities. This dual role combines people management ( 30%) and hands-on operational contribution ( 70%) to ensure the delivery of high-quality fleet data supporting engineering, maintenance, and customer operations.

The FDS Manager plays a key role in ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and availability, contributing directly to flight safety, maintenance optimization, and customer satisfaction.

This position is central to ensuring that reliable fleet data drives engineering decisions, enhances operational performance, and supports customer satisfaction, while building a solid, capable FDS team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Management ( 30%)

- Lead, manage, and develop a team of Fleet Data Specialists across multiple regions
- Set objectives, monitor performance, and support career development of team members
- Ensure appropriate workload distribution and resource planning
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment
- Act as the main point of escalation for operational and customer-related issues
- Promote best practices, standardization, and continuous improvement within the team
- Interface with internal stakeholders (Field Service Engineers, engineering teams, management, etc…)

1. Operational FDS Activities ( 70%)

- Contribute directly to fleet data collection, validation, and processing from airline customers across regions
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across systems
- Perform and supervise data management for assigned customers




- Generate and deliver reports and dashboards to support engineering and management decisions
- Maintain regular interactions with Field Service Engineers (FSEs) to monitor customer fleet status and data needs
- Support development and improvement of data tools, dashboards, and reporting processes

1. Quality & Continuous Improvement

- Ensure compliance with data governance standards and processes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in data workflows and tools
- Identify opportunities to enhance automation, reporting, and data visualization
- Contribute to cross-functional projects related to fleet performance and analytics

- Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work both strategically and hands-on

- Proven experience in data management / reporting within aerospace or related industry
- Previous team management or leadership experience preferred
- Strong expertise in data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI; SQL/Python is a plus)
- Solid understanding of airline operations, engine data, or MRO environment is an asset
