Job Title: Fire and Utility Piping Draftsman

Location: Corporate Office, Sanand, GIDC, Ahmedabad.

Experience: 3–7 Years (Preferred in EPC or Industrial MEP Projects)

Reporting To: Design Manager / Engineering Head

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire and Utility Piping Draftsman to support the design and drafting of fire protection and utility piping systems across industrial projects. The ideal candidate should be proficient in creating 2D and 3D layout drawings using AutoCAD and have a solid understanding of piping layouts, material specifications, and relevant codes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Draft Fire Protection Systems layouts, including:
- Fire pump room GA drawings
- Hydrant & sprinkler piping layouts
- IN-RACK sprinkler systems
- HVWS & MVWS piping networks
- Fire curtain layouts and zones
- Coordination with architectural, structural & MEP drawings
- Draft Utility Piping Systems layouts, including:
- Compressed air piping
- Chiller and chilled water piping
- Cooling water supply and return
- Steam and condensate return systems
- Water distribution (RO, drinking, raw, flushing, and garden)
- Review and update P&IDs;, isometrics, and schematic diagrams




- Incorporate design engineer inputs and client mark-ups into drawings
- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings for BOQ preparation
- Assist in coordinating with site and design teams for as-built documentation
- Perform self-check of drawings before submission
- Maintain drawing records and revisions with proper layering standards

Technical Skills Required:

- Proficient in AutoCAD (2D/3D) and piping drafting standards
- Experience with Navisworks / Revit / Plant 3D (preferred)
- Good understanding of IS Codes: IS 15105, IS 15325, IS 3844, IS 13039, IS 2190 • Familiar with NFPA standards and general mechanical utility standards • Knowledge of piping materials, symbols, and specifications
- Capable of reading and understanding engineering drawings and technical specifications

Qualification:

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field

Certification in AutoCAD / Revit / Drafting (preferred)
