Role Description The Finance Intern role at SJA Pathway is a part-time, remote position that supports the finance and accounting functions across the organization’s platforms and initiatives. On a day-to-day basis, the intern will assist with preparing and reviewing basic financial statements, tracking expenses and revenues, and maintaining accurate financial records.

The role includes supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, performing data analysis to identify financial trends, and contributing to internal financial reports and dashboards.



The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial information, help ensure compliance with internal procedures, and provide clear communication of findings to supervisors. This position offers hands-on exposure to finance operations in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret quantitative data and identify patterns or insights.
- Foundational knowledge of finance concepts and exposure to financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and comfort working with ledgers, reconciliations, and transaction records.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly in written and verbal formats.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and financial tools (e.g., Excel or Google Sheets), and familiarity with financial modeling or reporting is a plus.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity in handling data, and ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote setting.
- Interest in technology, AI-driven tools, and entrepreneurship, with a willingness to learn in a dynamic setting.
