Purpose To control and monitor all field activities, including planned or emergency shutdowns/start-ups of the plant, coordinate maintenance jobs, and record important process field parameters.

Major Duties

- Monitor process field parameters to ensure secure and efficient plant operation, achieving required product specifications and production targets.

- Take necessary actions to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and HSE norms during plant operation and maintenance activities.

- Ensure compliance with startup checklists and operational procedures for all equipment.

- Monitor static and rotary equipment, including supervision of hot work activities.

- Undertake emergency and shutdown actions during critical situations such as spillages, fire, gas leakage, etc., and maintain effective communication with Panel Engineers regarding shutdowns and specific operational instructions.





- Provide training and development support to junior employees and contract manpower.

- Carry out safe and proper sampling for laboratory analysis.

- Ensure strict adherence to SOPs related to plant operation and the safe handling of chemicals, additives, acids, and alkalis.

- Responsible for plant startup and shutdown activities during emergencies and planned shutdowns.

- Maintain log sheets, logbooks, plant records, and equipment performance documentation.

- Respond quickly and effectively during emergencies to minimize material loss, equipment damage, and environmental impact.

- Exposure to furnace operations will be considered an added advantage.
