- Carry out FEA projects primarily involving structural analysis of base frames as per customer requirements.
- Independently perform FE modelling of shell and solid structures based on the physics required to be simulated.
- Handle moderate to complex FEA models independently.
- Carry out analytical thinking and problem solving, including resolving convergence issues during analysis.
- Perform plausibility checks and interpret FEA results appropriately.
- Collaborate with designers for input data clarification and explain design enablers, wherever required.
- Prepare and document FEA results as per standard company formats.
- Present the analysis results and findings to the end customer, as required.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Experience required: 3 to 5 Years.
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Sound experience in structural FEA, preferably involving base-frame structures.
- Valuable experience in FE modelling of shell and solid structures.
- Ability to independently handle moderate to complex FE models.
- Software Tools: Proficiency in ANSA, META, ABAQUS, Hyperworks.
- Ability to use ANSA and META for pre-processing and post-processing.
- Competent in using ABAQUS for solving.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot convergence issues.
- Good understanding of FEA results interpretation and plausibility checks.
- Understanding of welding standards, including knowledge of weld types, weld symbols, and relevant standards such as ISO, DIN and AWS, would be an added advantage.
- Good collaboration skills and ability to work with designers for input clarification and design discussions.
- Good technical documentation and presentation skills.
