Role Description The Fashion Designer Intern role at TheDarkStore is a remote internship focused on supporting the design and development of apparel collections. On a day-to-day basis, the intern will assist in creating design concepts, sketching garments, selecting fabrics and trims, and supporting fittings and sample reviews. The role includes researching trends, materials, and techniques that align with the brand’s sustainable and urban aesthetic, as well as collaborating with the design team to refine collections and prepare design documentation.





The intern may also help with embroidery placements, artwork layouts, and design revisions based on feedback. This internship offers hands-on experience in fashion design processes, from concept to final sample.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Fashion Design and Fashion, including sketching, concept development, and awareness of current trends.
- Knowledge of Textiles, with the ability to understand fabric properties, sustainable materials, and appropriate usage for different garment types.
- Experience or interest in Embroidery techniques and decorative detailing for apparel.
- Understanding of Fitting processes, including reviewing samples and providing feedback on garment construction and silhouette.
- Currently studying or recently graduated in Fashion Design or a related field.
- Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar software) is beneficial.
- Attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
- Interest in sustainable, conscious fashion and urban streetwear aesthetics.
